11212: De La Rue Onoto set in box: black hard rubber plunger-filler, 14.85 cm long, gold filled barrel overlay, matching cap crown, both with French hallmarks; #3 Onoto nib is an unusual sharp-edged italic with considerable flexibility. Boxed with a De La Rue patent injector pencil that appears to use 1.1 mm lead, but requires repair; pencil has some brassing, and comes with a well-constructed lead holder of hard rubber with a gold filled overlay; box interior rather tattered.

10461: Mabie Todd Swan Military Safety: rare screw-cap black chased hard rubber ink-tablet eyedropper-filler, 14.2 cm long, gold filled overlay. New York production, imprints and chasing crisp, feed shows signs of having been overheated during nib setting but the pen is otherwise like new -- was found as part of a group of mostly new old stock Swans. Plain black hard rubber Swan Militaries are uncommon; examples with overlays are rare.

12717: Mabie Todd Swan in box: black hard rubber eyedropper-filler with full heavy 18K solid gold overlay, checkerboard pattern engine turning, 13.1 cm long, in extra-fancy original box with instructions, dropper still below pad, though bulb is hardened and broken. Pen is US-made, for the English market, slip-on clip is added and appears to be solid gold as well, total pen weight is 21g. Metal is undinged and with full London hallmarks, excellent but for what appears to be a polished-out inscription on the barrel.

11940: Mabie Todd Swan set in box: black hard rubber lever-filler with engine turned gold filled overlay, 13.2 cm long, New York production, with matching Fyne Poynt pencil; both would be near mint, but the pencil has a couple of scratches and bumps to the eraser cover and the pen has the typical corrosion damage to the section overlay (see details). Still a very handsome set, top quality construction and weight, pencil uses 1.1 mm lead, pen is a smooth writer.

10205: Mabie Todd Swan set in box: beautiful and solid New York-made lever-filler in 1/5 18K gold filled, 13.1 cm long, crisp rings chasing pattern (usually found on Edward Todd pens, but very uncommon for Mabie Todd). Matching 1.1 mm Fyne Poynt pencil, both pieces bear a neatly engraved 1928-dated inscription on their barrels. Nib is set tight, so writes a very fine line, but the tip is large enough that it could be adjusted to a medium fine if opened up. Set is like new with attractive age toning, no brassing but usual Mabie Todd seam lines visible where end caps soldered on pen.
